It all starts by finding and salvaging the wood.
Ninety percent of the wood I work with comes from local Vancouver Island beaches, logging sites or, in some cases, a local back yard. Even post wildfire sites from across the Island can yield salvageable wood I can use to make my wood furniture and reclaimed wood furniture.
The wood is then milled on site, if possible, or taken to a local sawmill and processed. I set the reclaimed wood aside to air dry for up to two, three or even four years. It is then kiln dried before being made into the unique, salvaged and reclaimed wood furniture and live edge furniture I sell at Natures Edge Wood Design.
Based in Campbell River, you can pick up your custom reclaimed wood piece at our shop, and meet Steve, or we deliver our custom wood pieces to all points on Vancouver Island including the Comox Valley, Parksville, Qualicum, Nanaimo, Duncan and Victoria as well as Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.
